Oh yeah, and having a baby too.
Crazy? Yes. We are the first to admit to it. But it makes good financial sense.
We bought a house outside of Minneapolis (yes, we know it will be cold) before we learned that we were pregnant. And being that we are both self-employed and have Kaiser health plans, which is not available in Minnesota), we decided we had to stay. So our new home is sitting all alone waiting for our family of four to come warm it up.
The first move, which I failed to detail before the second move, is into my mom's house. She won't be there as she is moving into my grandmother's vacation home in Show Low Arizona (yes, there is a place called Show Low in the "mountains" of Arizona) while she and her significant other build their new home. Yes, that's right, she has two moves too. But in lieu of rent, she is taking our old furniture to furnish grandma's house, which we see as a good deal because we planned on buying new for our new home.
So, yes, we are crazy folks. But it makes sense financially. But I have to say, I am not only eager, but anxious about our move to the mid-west with two babies under two. YIKES!
Anyone need to rent a two bedroom, two bath in Aliso Viejo starting in April?
Stopping by from another blog that follows you and wanted to say hi!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I currently live in our "starter" home; we've often wondered, how do you move from one house to another without making, like you are, multiple moves? I'm not sure it's possible, unless the stars align!

Confessions From A Working Mom
Wow! That is a lot but I'm sure with such a great attitude you'll handle it amazingly. Good luck with everything!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we're not the only crazy parents moving across the country with a little one! You have all my sympathy and tons of empathy. It's not easy but it'll all be worth (right? right??!!). :) Let me know if anyone's looking for a 2/2 on the bay in LB!
